Volunteer Greeters

Laguna Greeters Training

Date: Laguna Greeters volunteer year-round, primarily on evenings and weekends.
Time: Varies depending on event.
Location: Primarily at the Laguna Environmental Center but also tabling at community events.
Required Experience & Qualifications: A 7-hour training course is offered annually (Spring 2018, More details coming soon!)

Connect with the community by helping the Laguna Foundation with outreach and event support during public education classes, fundraisers, donor appreciation events, and parties!

We are looking for confident and outgoing volunteers to represent the Laguna Foundation at various community events. If you’re a people person, this volunteer position is for you! Our volunteers help support the events, as well as have the opportunity to attend those educational walks and talks for free! The course fee is $30. Payments can be made in installments and partial scholarships are available.

At each event, Laguna Greeters may be assigned to one or more of these areas: Set-up and clean-up of displays, tables and chairs; directing parking; greeting and checking-in guests; taking Gift Shop merchandise sales; food service duties including serving food and pouring beverages; representing the Laguna Foundation (tabling) at community events.

Upon completion of the training course, a minimum commitment of 5 volunteer hours each month is requested. Greeters are part of the Laguna Education Programs Volunteer Team which includes fun on-going opportunities for continuing education, special outings and social events with fellow education programs volunteers.

The Laguna Foundation has a full schedule of activities each month, all of which require lots of help. We hope you will join us in supporting these engaging events.
